Traveling Cinema “Trucks of the Night” – Silent Film Meets Twilight

On August 14, 2026, starting around 9:00 p.m., the WANDERKINO will transform the Bürgergarten at Haus Uckermark into a nostalgic open-air movie theater for one evening. Using historic 16mm projection equipment, silent films of various genres will be shown, ranging from slapstick and epic films to experimental short films.

All films are accompanied by live music performed by a variety of instruments. This creates a special atmosphere reminiscent of the early days of cinema.

A real highlight is the vintage Magirus Deutz fire truck, built in 1969, which houses all the cinema, sound, and lighting equipment. In no time at all, it can turn almost any location into an atmospheric open-air movie theater.

The WANDERKINO has been on the road since 1999 and has already made guest appearances in numerous countries, including France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Japan, Uruguay, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and many others.
