The Blumberger Mühle Nature Experience Center is one of the largest visitor centers operated by NABU (Naturschutzbund Deutschland e.V.) and also serves as the main information center for the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve.

Visitors are warmly welcome to learn interesting facts about environmental protection and species conservation and to experience nature firsthand: Our interactive exhibition provides information about the richness of habitats and ecological processes within the biosphere reserve—spanning 12 hectares, a nature experience landscape showcases the diversity of orchard meadows, dry grasslands, and small bodies of water—the endangered European pond turtle lives in a walk-through exhibit—the Blumberger Ponds are a resting place of supraregional importance for wading and waterfowl — a diverse environmental education program educates children and adults—we’re happy to guide you through the nature experience landscape or the nearby UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, the Buchenwald Grumsin—and at the restaurant “Zum grünen Wunder,” a rotating selection of fresh, regional, and organic products awaits.
