Max Prosa: "
" Wildwuchs Summer Tour at the Burgruine Greiffenberg
Music, poetry, and a special atmosphere in a historic setting
On July 11 at 6:30 p.m., Max Prosa will stop at the Burgruine Greiffenberg as part of his “Wildwuchs Summer Tour.” He will be accompanied by his musical partner Magnus Bang Olsen on piano and double bass.
“Wildwuchs” is Max Prosa’s fourth collection of poetic texts and reflections. In it, he brings together poems, aphorisms, diary entries, and philosophical musings—a meadow full of linguistic gems: wild, mysterious, and magical.
On their accompanying summer tour, Max Prosa and Magnus Bang Olsen explore these lyrics in depth. At times intense and expressive, at other times tender and subtle, they create a musical and poetic journey through the many facets of the human experience. Of course, well-known songs are also a must—including “Flügel,” which became an overnight hit in 2020 thanks to a performance on “The Voice,” and “Verschwende Dich,” with which Hannah Herzsprung touched hearts in a 2024 feature film.
The audience also plays a special role: As has often been the case at his recent concerts, Max Prosa incorporates letters from audience members into the evening’s program. This makes each concert a fresh experience—spontaneous, personal, and completely unique. It’s truly a free-for-all.
Music in a Historic Setting
The Burgruine Greiffenberg provides an extraordinary atmosphere for this evening. The small, fortress-like hilltop castle, built of brick, dates back to the 14th century. Among the preserved features are parts of the keep, the unusually large gatehouse, fieldstone foundations of the residential buildings, remnants of the curtain wall, and parts of the rampart-moat system.
Following extensive restoration work, the ruins are once again open to the public and can be explored. Information panels tell the story of the castle, and a small stage allows for events to be held in a unique setting.
