ADFC Uckermark and the Angermünde Tourism Association Go on a Summer Tour

Bike Ride from Angermünde to Chorin

To mark the ADFC Brandenburg e. V.’s major summer tour, the ADFC Uckermark and the Tourismusverein Angermünde e.V. invite you to join them on a joint bike tour from Angermünde to Chorin on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The groups from Templin and Angermünde will meet in Joachimsthal and then continue together along the Tour Brandenburg long-distance bike trail to Chorin.

In August 2026, ADFC Brandenburg e. V. will organize “ADFC on Tour,” one of the state’s largest cycling events. Through August 23, people from all over Brandenburg are invited to explore the state’s diverse landscapes together by bike.

Carpool from Angermünde

To ensure that visitors and residents of Angermünde can also take part in the tour to Chorin, a group ride to the main route is being offered.

The meeting point is at the Angermünde market square on August 15, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.

From there, the route first follows the Uckermärkischer Radrundweg, passing the NABU Blumberger Mühle Nature Discovery Center, along the fish ponds, and through the shady forests of the Schorfheide.

From Wolletz, the route continues on to Glambeck. A short break is planned at the historic Taubenturm.

The tour then continues via Parlow along the Tour Brandenburg long-distance bike trail to Joachimsthal. There, the Angermünde group will meet up with the participants from the Templin leg of the tour and take a lunch break together with them.

From there, the route continues along Grimnitzsee, through Althüttendorf and Senftenhütte, and on to Chorin.

Cycle route junction numbers: 7, 8, 6, 5, 53, 52, 51, 66, 10, and 82

Individual return trip from Chorin

Participants will make their own way home from Chorin.
Athletic participants can cycle back to Angermünde via Brodowin and Parsteiner See.

Junction points on the “Klostertour” bike route: 82 and 81, 17, 2, 1, and 11

Alternatively, you can take the RE3 regional express train for the return trip.

Contest for the Most Kilometers

The entire cycling tour covers approximately 1,110 kilometers along the Tour Brandenburg tourist cycling route. It winds its way through the state in a total of 24 stages.

Rides take place on weekends—on Saturdays and Sundays—along a northern and a southern route.

Two stages of the Northern Route are planned for the Uckermark region. Stage North 8 will run from Fürstenberg/Havel to Templin on August 9, 2026, starting at 10 a.m.

On August 15, 2026, Stage North 9 will take place from Templin to Chorin, also starting at 10 a.m. Several stops along the way, as well as a longer lunch break in Joachimsthal, are planned.

All routes in the summer tour will compete against each other in a friendly contest. The goal is to find the route with the most kilometers traveled together. This total is calculated based on the route length and the number of riders. The kilometers are tracked using an app.

On Tour Together

Norbert Hüsers and Sabine Zellmer from ADFC Uckermark, as well as Johanna Henschel from the Tourismusverein Angermünde e.V., will be accompanying the cyclists on this day and are looking forward to a large turnout.

Anyone interested is cordially invited to join us for a bike ride and help us rack up kilometers for the region.
