Susan Krieger – BLAUSIEB: Craftsmanship with Nature and Heart

For many years, Susan Krieger has been working as a freelancer in her own wallpaper workshop in the Uckermark region. With great dedication, she practices the traditional technique of hand screen printing—authentic, analog, and a far cry from digital mass production. Her love for traditional crafts has led her not only to screen printing but also to long-forgotten techniques such as spinning: From raw sheep’s wool to the finished yarn, she oversees every step of the manufacturing process.

Through her brand “BLAUSIEB,” Susan Krieger brings the beauty of nature directly to linen. In the meadows surrounding her countryside studio, she gathers seasonal wild herbs and plants that form the basis of her unique natural prints. Without any digital intermediaries, these botanical templates are transferred directly onto the screen-printing stencils—each piece is a lovingly crafted one-of-a-kind item.
