On August 29, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., the historic Burgruine Greiffenberg invites you to a special concert evening. Under the title “Gundermann Evening,” the Oderbruch band DIE ZUNFT and singer-songwriter Heike Mildner will present a program blending German-language rock, singer-songwriter artistry, and nuanced lyrics.

German-language rock from the Oderbruch region

DIE ZUNFT is known for German-language rock music that sounds fresh and vibrant at every concert. The five musicians enjoy the freedom to reinterpret their songs in new ways each time—sometimes soft, sometimes intense, sometimes cheerful, ironic, or passionate.

In addition to their own songs, their repertoire also includes songs by Bob Dylan and Van Morrison that have been translated into German in a unique style, as well as selected songs from East Germany by Silly, Lift, and Gundermann.

Singer-songwriter art with a message

Heike Mildner also brings special singer-songwriter moments to the stage with her program “doppelt gewendet.” Her songs tell of country life, social changes, experiences in East Germany, and the small and large challenges of everyday life.

Catchy melodies meet clever lyrics that stick in your head and make you think.

Music in a Historic Setting

The Burgruine Greiffenberg provides an extraordinary atmosphere for this evening. The small, fortress-like hilltop castle, built of brick, dates back to the 14th century. Among the preserved features are parts of the keep, the unusually large gatehouse, fieldstone foundations of the residential buildings, remnants of the curtain wall, and parts of the rampart-moat system.

Following extensive restoration work, the ruins are once again open to the public and can be explored. Information panels tell the story of the castle, and a small stage allows for events to be held in a unique setting.
