Guided Tour of the Buchenwald Grumsin World Natural Heritage Site
"A Primeval Forest Takes Shape"
Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at 11 a.m. | Registration required

This carefully guided hike into the Buchenwald Grumsin sub-area of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site—a nature conservation area spanning approximately 560 ha—is a truly unique experience. Led by an expert, your senses will be heightened to appreciate the grandeur of this emerging primeval forest with its mighty red beeches and mysterious bogs. Sure-footedness and sturdy footwear are a must!
Immerse yourself in a forest that has been left to its own devices and is regaining its natural dynamics.
Discover a landscape that is allowed to return to its wild state and reveal its original diversity.
Due to the sensitivity of the nature conservation area, the number of participants is limited to 15.
You should plan on spending about 4 hours on the tour; the route is approximately 6 km long.
