City Tour: MAIDS, POWER, AND RELIGIOUS CONFLICT—Angermünde THROUGH THE AGES

Registration required

A lively journey through Angermünde’s past
Angermünde’s history is rich in legends, wars, criminal cases, and eccentric characters. You can read about it in a chronicle—or experience it firsthand!
The Angermünde Tourism Association invites visitors and residents to a special guided tour that brings the town’s fascinating past to life through all the senses.

Maids, Power, and Religious Conflict
As you walk along the historic city wall, you’ll encounter extraordinary figures: Wallenstein and the “False Waldemar,” the pastor and his congregation, hardworking maidservants, and the Huguenots—those French religious refugees who brought a breath of fresh air and new ideas to the Uckermark in the 18th century.

Along the way to stone monuments and historic sites, entertaining dialogues and exciting stories take visitors on a fascinating journey through time—from the 14th to the 19th century.

As twilight falls over Angermünde, history and legends come to life: the town’s ghosts awaken and tell their stories.
