Bike Tour: A Set Table

This varied bike tour takes you through the sustainably managed Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve and the densely forested Grumsin region. Along the route, restaurants, cafés, and farm stands invite you to enjoy and purchase regional organic products. Whether it’s a fishery, distillery, dairy, or farmstead—a wide variety of products are produced and offered with one shared belief: Nothing beats Mother Nature’s bounty!

Local fish
From the train station, walk through the historic old town to the Angermünde Lake Fishery. Here you’ll find many specialties from their in-house smokehouse and processing facility.

Kerkow Farm and the NABU Blumberger Mühle Nature Discovery Center
The route continues toward Mündesee. The Mündeseepromenade leads past sculptures carved from hard stone toward Kerkow (Map 7/8). The organically managed Gut Kerkow, with its well-stocked farm stand, is the perfect spot for a leisurely coffee-and-cake break or a snack. A real eye-catcher is its herd of Black Angus cattle on the way to the
NABU Blumberger Mühle Nature Experience Center.

GDR Nostalgia at KaffeeKonsum
Cycle past the NABU fish ponds to Wolletz (Map 6). GDR nostalgia and an inviting outdoor area: KaffeeKonsum delights guests with homemade cakes and fresh, regional daily specials. Across the way is the picturesque Wolletzsee.

Liqueurs, brandies, and whiskey from Altkünkendorf
From Wolletz, the route continues to the Grumsiner Brennerei in Altkünkendorf (Ktp. (5/4). Local grains and heirloom fruit varieties come together to create a sensory feast of flavors.

A Taste of the Region
From Altkünkendorf, the route winds its way through Zuchenberg on a lively, curvy drive to the Hemme Milch adventure farm in Schmargendorf. From spring through fall, the farm café—which offers stunning panoramic views—is open and serves dairy specialties straight from its own dairy.
Now it’s time to head back to Angermünde.

Back to Angermünde’s historic old town
Ride past the Angermünde Zoo, set the table at home, and enjoy a delicious meal. Or cycle toward the old town at the roundabout (Ktp. 11). Shop at the Wildblume organic store or browse through RegionalLiebe Angermünde while enjoying a cup of coffee.
