Angermünde Recreation Area Development Plan

Tourism has continued to evolve in recent years, and Angermünde now faces new challenges as a result. To further position itself for the future in the tourism sector and thereby achieve recertification as a state-recognized resort town, the Angermünde city administration has commissioned the company mascontour GmbH to update the resort town development plan for Angermünde.

Along the way, initial findings have already been gathered through, among other things, in-person and digital guest surveys, as well as the analysis of secondary sources and statistics.

This assessment of the current state of tourism in Angermünde, which also includes an evaluation of what has been achieved so far, now serves as the basis for the joint development of a practical plan for the future tourism development of the city and its neighborhoods.

Workshops on tourism development in Angermünde were held in 2023 and 2024.

During the workshops, we presented selected findings from the status quo analysis (including the guest survey), and you had the opportunity to share your insights and experiences as part of the process. Together, we also explored the challenges and opportunities you saw for Angermünde’s tourism development.

Based on this, ideas were jointly developed as the process progressed, and key topics as well as concrete approaches and measures for the development of tourism in Angermünde were identified.

In May 2024, the revised “Resort Development Plan for Angermünde” was adopted.
