On June 19 and 20, 2026, the city of Angermünde will once again host its city festival in the historic old town. Under the motto “From the Region, For the Region,” visitors can look forward to a diverse program for all generations—with free admission.
Kickoff with a choir concert and opening ceremony on the market square
The festive kickoff will take place on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 4 p.m. with a grand choral concert at St. Mary’s Church. Following that, the city festival will officially open at 6 p.m. on the market square.
Afterward, guests can look forward to music, dancing, and a lively get-together on the market square and on Rosenstraße.
Regional program on two stages
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the festival grounds will open at 11 a.m. Regional artists, associations, and groups will present a varied program on two stages.
The city festival will also feature information and activity booths, culinary offerings, and numerous hands-on activities. There will once again be plenty of games and activities for children and families.
Community Garden with a church service, pop music festival, and open mic
The Bürgergarten will once again be part of the city festival in 2026. In addition to an ecumenical service and the traditional Schlagerfest, a new event will be held there for the first time: “Open Mic.”
Starting at 7 p.m., up-and-coming artists will have the opportunity to present their own writing, songs, or comedy routines in front of an audience. The event is designed to provide a casual platform for regional talent. Performance time is limited to a maximum of ten minutes. A microphone system is available for solo performances.

Participation is strongly encouraged
The city festival thrives on the commitment of the local community. Businesses, clubs, initiatives, and organizations are cordially invited to get actively involved.
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your organization with your own booth. Information booths and hands-on activities are especially welcome. Food and beverage vendors can also still apply to participate.
The beer carts will once again be operated by Angermünde clubs this year.
