Stolpe Celebrates 775 Years –
: An Anniversary Year Full of Experiences

For an entire year, Stolpe will be celebrating its 775-year history. The anniversary year of 2026 will feature a varied program of music and dance, village festivals, exhibitions, films, lectures, readings, art, guided tours, and many other events.

Nature, History, and Culture Along the Oder River

Stolpe, idyllically situated on the Oder River, captivates visitors with its sweeping views of the floodplain landscape and the Unteres Odertal National Park. Nestled between the river, Turmberg, and the historic village setting, Stolpe is a wonderful place to experience nature, history, and culture.

During this anniversary year, this special connection will be visible and tangible in many different ways.

A varied program for the whole year

Whether it’s a concert at the Kulturkapelle, guided tours in and around the Stolper Turm, a lecture on the village’s history, or the three-day village festival: This anniversary year invites everyone to celebrate together, share memories, and discover new things.

Musicians from the region, writers, geologists, and archaeologists enrich the program with their art, their knowledge, and fascinating insights.

During the open house, visitors can also explore historic sites that aren’t always accessible otherwise.

A Village Chronicle for the Anniversary

A fascinating village chronicle, published especially for the anniversary, recounts the eventful history of Stolpe—from its first documented mention 775 years ago to the vibrant present.

It shows how the village has developed over the centuries and which people, events, and stories continue to shape Stolpe to this day.

    Historical tour of the town and tower with Dr. Ralf-Dietmar Hegel, spiral staircase of the Stolper Turm
  • August 29, 2026, 6:00 p.m.
    “Stolpe Then and Now” – A Village Speaks to Us
    A calendar and exhibition marking the anniversary showcase Stolpe on the Oder through the ages, KulturKapelle Stolpe/Oder e.V.
  • September 4–6, 2026
    Anniversary Weekend, Festival Grounds by the Canal
    From September 4 to 6, 2026, Stolpe will celebrate its three-day anniversary festival with music, dancing, and activities for the whole family. The festivities kick off with a lantern parade and a lively Friday evening, followed on Saturday by a diverse stage program, children’s activities, and regional cuisine. On Sunday, the festival comes to a cozy close with a musical morning get-together.

    Fortifications, Silver Treasures, and Warriors’ Graves—Stolpe on the Oder in the Slavic Era

  • December 12, 2026, 3:00 p.m.
    Christmas Caroling in Stolpe an der Oder, KulturKapelle Stolpe/Oder e.V.
    Well-known Advent and Christmas carols will be performed—for singing along, listening, and getting into the spirit of the most wonderful time of the year. A festively decorated tree, candlelight, and music create a cozy Advent atmosphere.
